Services

  • Acupuncture - The traditional type of body acupuncture.
  • Facial Acupuncture - Fine needles are used to create microtrauma in the skin which then causes the body to heal the injury by laying down collagen fibers. This is how fine lines and wrinkles may be removed as well as creating a gentle tightening of the skin.
  • Scalp and Ear Acupuncture - Especially effective for neurological and emotional conditions.
  • FSN Technique - Utilizes a special needle designed to remove fascial restrictions.
  • Dry Needling - A technique that is used very judiciously and sparingly to relieve pain in muscles.
  • Electrical Stimulation - The TENS unit provides the appropriate level of electrical stimulation.
  • Herbal and Nutritional Support.
  • Patient education in the continued maintenance of health and well-being.

Meet Your Doctor

I hail from a family completely populated by physicians! Conversations around the dinner table, when I was growing up, we’re all about medicine and about the valuable work physicians do to alleviate human suffering. So, it is not a mystery as to why I chose healthcare as my field of occupation.

I started my life as a healthcare professional in the modern western medicine paradigm of the treatment of disease. I studied occupational therapy, completing my masters’ program at the University of Indianapolis, Indiana in 1994. I specialized in the areas of physical dysfunction and psycho-social rehabilitation.

After several years of working in my chosen field, I realized that the medical industry focused more on the treatment of disease and not so much on the promotion of health and prevention of ill-health.

I soon got restless and searched for something which would affect the health and wellbeing of my patients in a more significant manner. I was introduced to acupuncture by a co-worker in 2001 and received my masters’ in 2004. After practicing for 10 years, I went back to school to refine my skills. I received my doctorate in 2017.

Now, in my clinic, my model for health includes western therapeutics combined with eastern principles of health, Chinese, as well as Ayurvedic and Yogic philosophies. My treatment is individualized with focused attention on each patient. I believe in giving my patients the gift of time and space to express themselves, thus allowing healing to begin.
